Monofloral Mānuka, graded by MGO.
Discover raw, unpasteurised monofloral Mānuka honey from New Zealand. This MGO 512+ honey has a rich character and dense texture, ideal for savouring a spoonful on its own.
A higher MGO means a more concentrated honey with a stronger, more medicinal flavour, not a better one. 83+ and 261+ are the daily jars, in tea, on toast or off the spoon. 512+ is the step up, where the flavour starts to assert itself. 826+ and 1197+ are intense, and usually bought deliberately or as a gift.
Take 1-2 teaspoons daily directly from the spoon or mix into warm beverages. 100% raw and unpasteurised.
Drizzle over oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, or take straight off the spoon every morning.

Salem Bites Mānuka is graded by MGO and sourced direct from New Zealand apiaries. Single-origin, unblended, and traceable to its harvest.
MGO is the methylglyoxal naturally present in Mānuka, in milligrams per kilogram. A higher number means a stronger honey, not a better one.
Our gentlest Mānuka. Light, floral and easy to love, for tea, toast and family breakfasts.
Still a daily honey, with noticeably more character than 83+ without becoming assertive.
Rich, dense and unmistakably Mānuka. High-strength honey for a focused daily spoonful.
Deep, buttery and intensely aromatic. A premium-strength jar for those who like their Mānuka strong.
An ultra-rare small-batch reserve at the top of the MGO scale, bottled in strictly limited numbers.
MGO measures the methylglyoxal naturally present in Mānuka. A higher number means a more concentrated, more intensely flavoured honey, not a better one.

Every grade is the same single-origin, unblended Mānuka. The grade describes concentration and flavour intensity.
Forms naturally in Mānuka honey from DHA in the flower’s nectar. It is the compound the grade on the jar measures, in milligrams per kilogram.
A compound found in Mānuka nectar, used across the New Zealand industry as a marker that a honey is genuine Mānuka.
Present in Mānuka flower nectar in unusual quantity. Over weeks and months in the jar it converts into MGO.
Honey that is strained rather than fine-filtered keeps the pollen and plant compounds of the flowers it came from.
Honey from bees working the Mānuka tree, Leptospermum scoparium, in native New Zealand scrubland. It is thick, faintly medicinal in flavour, and the only honey we sell with a number on the label: its MGO grade.
Mānuka nectar is unusually rich in DHA, which turns into methylglyoxal (MGO) in the jar over weeks and months. That is what the grade measures, and it is why Mānuka tastes stronger and more medicinal than most honey.
Off the spoon, stirred into tea once it has cooled a little, or over yoghurt, oats or toast. For most of that, 83+ or 261+ is the jar to use.
It tells you how concentrated a batch is: MGO 512+ means at least 512 mg of methylglyoxal per kilogram. A higher number means a stronger, more medicinal honey, not a better one, so 83+ or 261+ is the place to start.
It is sourced direct from New Zealand apiaries and graded by MGO, from 83+ through to 1197+. Every jar is single-origin and unblended.
