Salem Bites – Terms of Service

1. Introduction — Welcome to Salem Bites. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and the purchase of our products. By accessing or ordering from our store, you agree to these Terms.

2. Orders & Payment — All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. Payment must be completed at the time of purchase using the methods provided on the website. Prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and may change without prior notice.

3. Shipping & Delivery — We ship to the address provided at checkout. Delivery within South Africa is free on orders from R650; standard delivery is R100 below that. Delivery times vary with location, stock and shipping method. Salem Bites is not responsible for delays caused by courier services. Please ensure your delivery address is correct; lost or misdelivered packages due to incorrect addresses may not be eligible for replacement.

4. Returns & Refunds — Because our products are food, we cannot accept returns of opened items. If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or in poor condition, contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos, and we will provide a replacement or refund. Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the error was ours.

5. Product Information — We strive for accuracy in descriptions, images and packaging. Raw honey varies in colour, texture and crystallisation between harvests, and slight variations in colour, shape or flavour may occur in our handmade chocolates.

6. Allergens & Safety — Our chocolates contain pistachio, milk and wheat (kunafa) and may contain traces of other nuts and soy. Review product labels carefully; by purchasing you acknowledge you have checked for allergens and dietary restrictions. Raw honey is not suitable for children under one year old.

7. Limitation of Liability — Salem Bites is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of our website or products. Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the affected products.

8. Privacy & Cookies — Use of our website is also governed by our Privacy Policy at salembites.com/policies/privacy-policy, which explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information.

9. Intellectual Property — All content on this website, including images, logos and text, is the property of Salem Bites and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute or use our content without written permission.

10. Governing Law & Disputes — These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your purchase will be resolved under South African jurisdiction.
